Yes, ClearFast PreOp can be consumed by children under the supervision of their doctors and parent/guardians. It can be consumed both before and after surgery.

For children weighing under 50 kilograms or 110 pounds, we recommend dividing the full 12 ounce bottle into 3 servings (4 ounces each.) Children should consume the first two servings at 4 and at 3 hours before surgery and the last serving 2 hours prior to surgery in order to ensure proper absorption before the start of anesthesia.

A 40-50 kg adult could have the same ingestion schedule as a similarly sized child, that is, three servings of 4 ounces each at 4, 3 and 2 hours prior to surgery.

Yes, women in labor can drink ClearFast PreOp under the supervision of their doctor. If you are pregnant and scheduled for a cesarean section, you may be allowed to consume ClearFast PreOp up to 2-3 hours prior to your scheduled delivery.

ClearFast PreOp does not need to be refrigerated prior to being opened but should be after the safety seal is broken. ClearFast PreOp should be consumed by the expiration date printed on the bottle. Note that ClearFast is all-natural; if oxygen gets into the seal, it can create mold.

Our CFpreop® is certified Vegan and Kosher. It is also gluten-free.
